‘Slices’ is a film created by Pete Davies and Simon Lakos for the D&AD. Directed and Produced by Pete, Lit, Shot and Edited by Simon, it originated as an independent project intending to showcase the intricate hand-craft and creation of the unique smaller set of D&AD prestigious Awards. The sound design was an intricate process and involved Tom recording all of the working sounds in the warehouse and carefully compiling and manipulating them for the edit. The film has been gratuitously praised by the D&AD and 2MZ, who both have used it on their sites.
